I know many of you are aware of this but I have read several posts here about the price of lite on cdwriters. I do not know where they are coming from but newegg sells the 40x lite on cdwriter for $68 (OEM) and $70 (Retail). I have seen people post prices around $120. That is way too much. I have had good experiences with these drives. I have a plextor that is great but in the future I may get one these because of the price.

newegg.com is pretty good place... so is ussa.com. These sites dont' tend to rip people off on the shipping (at least when I ordered from them in the past they did not.)
I just ordred the 24x lite on for my mother from ussa.com and the total with shipping was like 69 dollars... good places if they have the item you want, because who wants to save 5 dollars on the price if you lost 8 on the shipping. -
The price depends on what country you live in(conversion rate, tariffs, etc).
Many countries use the "Dollar" but that doesn't mean they are worth the same.
