I just burned Harry Potter using Toast. The two files before burn were 726mb and 763mb. I burned these on 700mb cd's. Toast burned them perfect at 12x and they work perfect. Mac vcd's are getting better and better. Just thought ya'll would like to know.

no u didn't over burn you can fit about 800 meg on a vcd or svcd if the cd is an 80 mins

Even though the cd says 700mb? I'm just more shocked that Toast allowed it than the cd holding it.
-
The video CD is burned in "mode 2 form 2," which has less error correction than the data mode, which is used when burning files onto a disc. This is why you can burn up to 80 minutes onto a 700 MB disc, just like when you make an audio CD.
That's also why when you make an audio CD or a video CD, Toast doesn't offer to check your new disc for errors...
But wait - you mention yourself in the guides that a VCD can hold 80 minutes of video. Are you yanking our chains? -
I yank no chains. I always knew that it would hold 80min of video. However this was the first time I had my segments be over 700mb. I never knew Toast would allow the files to be over 700mb.
