What TMEPG ENC version is the best and why

I should include thet I have only used this with the DVD2SVCD method. For backing up my DVD collection ,25 times now and It works superb. 2 to 3 disks per DVD and you cant tell it from the original, on my 65" TV.I am not shure how to plug in captured MPEG2 or AVI into DVD2SVCD at the nessesary stage. If any one else can help, feel free to jump in.

I just upped with the $48 and bought the newest TMPGenc pro. For as often as I use it, and as good as it is, it was worth it to me.

I suggest that heavy videophiles do the same thing so that pegasys can continue to develop it and add cool shit and good algorithms, higher quality, etc...
