    ok... i read somewhere on this forum that nero is not a good proggy to burn vcd's....?? is this true.. is that why some of my converted divx films seem a bit 'choppy' now and then?

    will using summut else improve quality of films..? (if so what)

    i use tmpengc etc for conversion nero to burn etc...


    Any help is FAAAANTASTIC.. :D

  2. Well,I've burn't 4 vcd's using nero now,and havn't had a single problem,all of them play perfectly.

    I think what was said was that you should not let Nero encode....cause you have no control over it.....TMPG much better for that.
    But as stated abve...Nero is great for burning.....And its all I use...
    As for jumping or quality issues... If you source video aint that great the VCD can't be any better.... But if you have a good quality source use some of the nonstandard VCD templates available on the site here and you should get great results...

  5. If all you are interested in is a simple multitrack VCD, Nero shouldn't have too many problems.

    However, if you are interested in authoring at a more advanced level (e.g., menus, chapters), then Nero is completely hopeless. The menus implementation that it does have is buggy and causes most software DVD players to hang (and even some hardware players!)

    If you want more advanced authoring, I suggest that you look elsewhere , preferably VCDImager +/- GUI (VCDEasy or TSCV), VCD Toolkit, or commercial products like VideoPack 4/5.
