I recieved a movie in vcd format, but now i need to convert it back to mpeg so i can burn it on to a dvd...Can someone point me in the right direction?

Copy the dat file to your hard drive.....then convert with VCDgear GUI program back to mpg...find it at left under tools.......
I know that TMPG will go from dat to mpg.....but its like reencoding....take buko long time....VCDgear takes maybe 5-10 minutes. -

Yes DVD will want MPEG2, 48khz audio (VCD is MPEG1, 44 khz audio). Be sure you convert with an MPEG encoder like TMPGenc.

ok, is there a tutorial here to help teach me how to do that? I have the program already....thanks for your help so far....I tried to learn this on my own, but it just does not work that way
