ok this is what i need to do. I have a divx movie that is encoded with 5.02 and i need to add subs to the movie do i re-encode it with virtual dub and if i do what are good settings if you can tell me or can i go directly to tmpgenc program, i have vobsub installed and everything else. i tried it once already and it look crap as hell , subs were over lapping each other. please point me to the right direction thanx

What kind of subtitle files (format) do you have?

the subtitles are in .sub format and i want to convert to vcd ready format mpeg1

You may follow the link above. Also as usual I have to mention, that there are many different subtitle formats with .sub extension. If you are not sure, please post the lines 1-13.

i have tried the link but frame server don't work for me can't you re-encode with divx again


and what i have for subs are .idx and .sub extracted from a dvd
