  1. I have looked up and down this forum to try to piece together answers for all my problems with this task.
    Here's my setup:
    AMD Athlon XP 1800+
    384 DDR RAM
ECS K7S5A (using built in sound)
    2 hard drives IBM 40GB 7200/ATA100 DMA on, WD 120GB ATA100/dma on
(WD is used only for movie files)
Radeon DDR 64MB Vivo (vivo software not installed)
    Windows 98SE

I capture the file from laserdisc, 45 minutes worth.
covert it with the export utility. looks and sounds fine.
    I run PVAStrumento first.
    then I run dvd2svcd
I use TMPGENC with the resulting files. and chose field order B, everything else standard from the wizard. (I have tried several variations, including changing the audio delay, etc) finally got the video to look good (used to have alot of jerky motion), but the audio is still off sync. I use SSRC to covert the audio from 32Khz to 44.1Khz.
The audio is out of sync with the file that is produced from TMPGENC. I'll be using Nero 5.x to burn the CD.

    Can anyone help me?
I only have a few apps on this machine, so it wouldn't take much for me to install Windows 2000 or re-install Windows 98SE. I also have another sound card (Soundblaster live - original, not 5.1 or audigy) if I need to put that in.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. If I have missed something thru searching, a link to solutions would be fine as well.

    Thank you in advance!

  2. You may want to try using DVD2AVI instead of DVD2SVCD. PVAStrumento might not be necessary either. Just remember to correct any audio delay in TMPGenc.
