  1. not sure if i,m in the right forum but here goes.
i,m trying to record vcds and svcds from my pc to my vcr
i,m using the tv out(svideo) on my graphics card (ati) to the a scart socket on the vcr. i get a picture but it b/w.
if i link the p.c directly to the tv it is alo b/w
i,ve tried various settings (pal ntsc) but i still can't get any colour.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

  2. What mode is the VCD - NTSC or PAL? If your VCD was NTSC and the computer was trying to play it as NTSC then you would get what you said,a slighly distorted BW picture (the color info in 3.58 MHz NTSC is in a different place than PAL).

If your player card cannot convert you may need to convert the NTSC VCD to PAL MPEG1 with something like TMPGenc (tools section)

Check your display card manual to see what it can do for you also.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'
