vcd keeps pausing

i have ripped a vcd but it every few seconds the film stops for about 2 seconds and then continues how can i stop this

Well, there can be a lot of reasons for this:
1. Is the original disc playing well? if not, then you know where the problem is.
2. Does it play well on other drives/players? If yes, your drive may have some problems, or the media is not ok.
There can be a lot of problems, try a little bit, if it plays anywhere else properly.
