    When i encode to svcd , and i watch it, every few seconds it looks to freeze then carry on. this is hard to explain. only freezes for milli second and carries on. just ignoring. anyway to stop that???

    Check your frame rates, If you are converting Pal to NTSC or Vice versa this is a common result.

    Frame rates are PAL 25fps, NTSC film 23.97 and NTSC 29.97.

    Make sure your source and target formats match in this respect at least.
