  1. i converted with TMPEnc beta 12f+. but when i play it, it looks worse than the AVI. Here is what the avi file it.

    Duration: 1:48:33
    Bit Rate: 1411kbps
    Audio sample size 16 bit
    Audio FormatCM

    Frame Rate: 23 Frames/second
    Data rate: 282kbps

    if anybody can help me make this AVI into a Mpeg i would Kiss THIER FEET!! i realy want to put it on a VCD. could ya tell me step by step to make it look really good i know you guys are awsome ok thanks thanks thanks!

  2. Try pumping up the bitrate plus setting the motion search in TMPG to high (dont bother with highest as this does no difference apparently). If this doesnt work try encoding to SVCD. Hope this helps!

    I have to agree, on my crap pentium II system, I get really good encodes from divx files, with Tmpgenc set to high on svcd mode.

  4. i'm on a athlon t-bird 850 with 196 MB ram i would think it would be ok wouldn't you? i mean its not the best but its ok
