  1. I have used the smart ripper, DVD2AVI and then TMPGEnc!
I have generated beautiful VCD and SVCD for months without any problem until this week, I tried to do a batch job with TMPGnc, and massed up everything!

I still can ripper, no problem, still able to do encoding, no problem, however, I am not able to generate sound file with DVD2AVI, only the .d2v file has been generated after run the DVD2AVI, and without .wav file, there is no sound!!!!!!

I have tried everything including reinstall all the files, re-install at different directary, no luck!

Anyone can tell me how to fix this ???????

    I am frustrated with this!!!

    thanks!!!!

Have you tried switching to a different audio track? Under the audio tab click on track number and select a different number. You probably either have it set to none or to a DTS track, which dvd2avi can't decode. Get FlaskMPEG in the tools section. Load one of your vobs or your ifo file into it and it will show you which audio track is which.

Actually you would probably be better off just setting the dolby digital setting to demux all Tracks. This will give you ac3 files for each track which you can convert to wav using azid and toolame. Try out BeSweet. Its a gui that makes the entire audio encoding process very simple. This method is higher quality than using dvd2avi and also prevents alot of sync problems.

Oh, also make sure you are using version 1.76 of dvd2avi. Its the only fully stable version.

Are you sure you haven't altered Audio>>Dolby Digital to demux instead of decode?
