Hi Folks - my first question for you...

I've tried using the excellent guides in this forum for converting svcd mpeg2 onto DVD using various software.

I have found that by using the MPG file from a svcd disk (after copying it to the HD of course) Ulead DVD Workshop lets you import these files without having to do anything to them. I.e a 3 disk svcd - import files and author the menu etc.

I then compile the dvd as normal - in MOST cases using the regualar 4000 bitrate template will result in a fully working dvd which plays in my standalone no problemo - BUT there have been a number of occasions where say the 3rd svcd mpg seems to stick - the audio carries on but the picture freezes?

HAs anyone come accross this or have any ideas???

Yes i am using the latest patch from Ulead (which also fixes the sync problem).

Josh.
