hey! ok i'm getting closer to getting spiderman to work on my DVD player...except for this little snag....
i load the cd2.mpg file into TMPEGen, and select mpeg tools and then de-multiplex. i do this because if i convert the whole thing at once to NTSC the sound is jumpy. but about halfway through the video de-multiplex it finishes real quick....and when i checked the file size for just the video file it is only half of what it should be....half of the video is missing. i tried this a few times with the same result. i dont know what to do at this point...i'm stumped. any help would be great!
thanks,
mike

Why don't you give us enough information to attempt to help you? Are you running into a file size problem?
-
ok...i will make it alittle more simpler. i have ALL of CD2. it plays fine on my computer. when i try to de-multiplex it to split it into a video and sound file, the video gets halfway done with the process and finishes very quickly, like it skips the last half. so the finished .m2v file only has half of the movie.
i cant make it any more clearer than that

Gee, it seems that I left my decoder ring at home today. -

I have the same problem with Spiderman. I tried different demuxers all with the same result. Apperently there's an error in cd 2 and 3 so you can't de-multiplex.

Here is how to fix this problem. I F---ed with this thing for 3 days. First take your mpg into DVD2AVI and process. Open TMPGenc, Load VCD/SVCD template based upon your needs/taste. Now, load the DV2 file as the video source and the MPA file as the audio source. In found that using 16x9 (PAL) for the source aspect ration came out the best. You can also take your MPA into Sound Forge and fix er up first and then save as a WAV if you like.

ok...i loaded the mpg file into DVD2AVI but what do i do now? file > save avi?
-
Save Project. This produces a d2v and mpa file, which can be fed into TMPGenc.
Someone else has solved this problem by running the mpgs through VCDGear to fix the errors that are on both CD2 and CD3. -
VCDGear seems easyer used v3.0 and loaded the mpg file into it, and selected Fix Errors. but in the end....it did the same thing? any suggestions?

If VCDGear won't hack it, then then use DVD2AVI as already suggested!
