    do i need to have an aspi layer in the smartripper folder? i'm thinking my problems with nero and my yamaha burner are related to having too many aspi layers and of different versions floating around in different folders. the nero folder is supposed to have one. what about tmpeg and dvd2avi folders?

    get aspi 4.70 from adaptec and just install it

    The aspi layer is installed in the windows\system or \winnt\system32 directory, nowhere else..
    So you don't need aspi files in the smartipper folder..

    Hm, ive heard some apps have problems with aspi 4.70, so id suggest 4.60.
