I am using nero and was wondering if it was possible to burn an avi file to a vcd or does it have to be mpeg. If so, what is the best/fastest converter out there? thanks

ANSWER- Not the fastest but the cheapest (FREE)is TMPGenc read that guide.and also read the comparison chart they say its the best.

you may use nero's vcd fucntion to burn stright off avi... but I think that takes FOREVER, and needs a lot of space...
lat time I tried it... it sued up 78 GB out of my 80gig, and then crashed comp.... this also took me around 28 HOURS (non stop), the avi file was 600MB....
So MPG conversion would work best... and you should read the guides on the elft

just as a note, the encoders / compressors do not give the best quality, so all your hard work will still look ropey. stick with the guides and you wont go wrong
Dont feed the little Varmits too much
