Premire timline cannot be in rec601

Hi I noticed with the new Premiere pro 2026 even if you select Rec601 in the modify tab of the file it is sd 720 576 losless file the timeline is always rec709 is there any way around this?

I recently noticed PowerDirector also lacks 601. No workaround.
