Does anyone know what the following error frpm ccesp 2.50 means and how to possibly solve it?

CCE encoding failed: AVI streamreada[]failed (0x004406d): A disc error occured while reading the file

is the avi file on a disc??? or is it on your harddrive??? are you frameserving or just loading the file into CCE??? when do you get the error, during the encoding process or when you load the file???

The file is on my hard drive.
I edit it with studio 7 or premiere 6.0 and render.
The error occurs at a certain point in any one file. The encoded portion of the finished mpeg2 will play up to the point the error occurs.
I have win. 2k
This does not occur when the file is dragged into CCE
