I'm currently using the browser extension The Stream Detector which is handy tool but I need a cmd version so I can automate it. Does anyone know a cmd that can detect M3U8 just by entering the url?

  2. This can only be done for a specific URL.

According to the doco The Stream Detector uses youtube-dl.exe (yt-dlp.exe now maybe, as it is always being updated) to download.
Perhaps you can use yt-dlp.exe for your downloads.
    Code:
    yt-dlp.exe --batch-file mylist.txt
    mylist.txt
    Code:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2klYjv0Vnj0
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzJdw8HwB1g
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELbwlypYm-0
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZ38C-M3tyk
There are a large number of parameters that may need investigating.
I use yt-dlp to frequently download a series of fta shows.
My batch file simplified; as mine is somewhat more involved.
    Code:
    @echo off
    SETLOCAL
if not exist Downloads\ md Downloads
    yt-dlp.exe --batch-file mylist.txt --write-subs --sub-format srt/vtt/best --convert-subs srt --merge-output-format mp4 -o "Downloads\%%(title)s.%%(ext)s"
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

yt-dlp can't find m3u8 cause it gives ERROR: Unsupported URL so I have to rely on The Stream Detector to find m3u8 and then use to yt-dlp to download

  5. I just posted the m3u8s that yt-dlp found with list formats.
I do not know if this will be what you want.

    Code:
    C:\Users\USERS\Desktop\Vedit\yt-dlp>yt-dlp --list-formats https://youtu.be/UG5O35YtgTA?t=14
