  1. I have a Viofo RWC200 rear camera for my vehicle. I'd like to split the stream and display it on a monitor.

If the cam was analog, it would be a fairly easy project. However, the RWC200 uses H264 encoding and connects via USB-C. I hoped to access the stream by plugging it into my Android headunit and running a USB cam app. So far no luck after trying half a dozen apps. I've read that this may be because the devices don't know how to talk to each other, e.g. normal USB cams handshake such that the host device recognizes it as a cam.

Anyone have an idea of how to access this stream? I'm open to buying any adapter/converter/capture card that might work. Also open to converting the digital stream to analog if needed.

'Wireless RCA Video receiver/transmitter' exist, but I can't comment on quality, having not used one.
Check them out on Amazon. Not sure if it is what you're after.

I'm trying to figure out how read/convert the video stream from the USB-C cam into something useable. A Reddit user mentioned this cam may be sending an analog signal via USB to a DAC in the dashcam it plugs into. Perhaps I need a DAC to do the same, but I'm not sure where to start or what functions/features I should be hunting for.

  4. The camera should have a memory card.
The videos are stored on this card.
Remove it and use a card reader with your computer.

  5. Goal is to access the live video stream from the rear cam without using the main dashcam.

  6. I believe what you need is a UVC to HDMI adapter, assuming your target monitor has HDMI. They aren't cheap, but this might work:
