What Freq. should I use for the sound when converting DivX to SVCD ?
(Or should I use the same freq. as the source ?)

44khz will guarantee compatibility with more standalone players (some i've heard have issues playing 48khz off of (s)vcd) downsampling from 48 to 44 also will add a bit of time to the encoding process. and of course if your source is 44 then going to 48 would do no good at all.

Unless you were thinking of burning a DVD at a later stage.
