  2. Ok lets get things straight..... when I posted my info on the BushDVD 2004 in the middle of last year. Please see info below

"Richard Standen reported July 07 2001 that: (note the date)

(various info supplied here not needed at themoment)

This is a multi region dvd play straightfrom the box, plus the macrovision is not included in the system, so you can hook it up to a VCR and copy on to VHS Tape."

Bush HAD forgoten about the macrovision at that time.

BUT!!!! and it is a BIG BUT!!!!

They discontinued the DVD2004 and re-released it as the DVD2004a (please note the "A" on the end of the name), they still market it as the DVD2004, untill you open the box look at the back and see DVD2004a. (I wonder if you can sue them under triade description?)

The new model has the macrovision enabled and I think it isn't region free.

Now Neal, look at the back of your player. Does it say BushDVD2004 or Bush DVD2004a?
As I am a nice guy and like to help people try this out...:

    1. Open player tray
    2. Press 7, 7, SELECT/ENTER on the remote control.
    3. You should be in the Engineers Menu.
    4. Look under COUNTRY CODE and change the value to whatever
number region you want, or choose 13 for region-free.
    5. Press PLAY to exit the menu then close the player tray.
    6. Macrovision can also be disabled in this hidden menu on the second
    page to 2.

If you need any help mail me and I'll try and point you in the right direction.

    Cya
