i get the attached error when i am trying to save the avi file to MP4 do i need to crop the video before it will let me do the conversion? i do have black bars around the video which was captured with lossless logirth and uncompressed audio.

YUV420 means 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. You cannot have odd pixel dimensions - the 553 height is incompatible (has to be evenly divisible by 2)
You'd either need to adjust your crop, or resize, or use YUV444, or RGB -
Change 533 to 532 (or 534).
I think I've read 444 is not a good idea for general viewing devices.
