Recording at LP setting (480x480 3meg bitrate 384mhz audio compression)

Then these paths work solid for me.
A. Make an SVCD edited standard format.
1. Export files to 720 to 800meg chunks for burning.
2. Edit out commercials (reduces to about 680meg size) in Ulead.
3. Make Movie in Ulead to SVCD format.
4. Create Chapters and burn.
This gives a fair quality but not great like a DVD.

B. Make an XSVCD edited format.
1. Export files to 720 to 800meg chunks for burning.
2. Edit out commercials (reduces to about 680meg size) in Ulead.
3. Make Movie in Ulead to XSVCD format which only really changes the audio bitrate from 32 to 41.4 bu using custom output.
Use duplicate settings of the LP recording, 3meg video bitrate, 384mhz audio compression.
4. Create Chapters and burn.
This gives really good quality output of about 25min a CD as it's using much higher video.

C. Make an XSVCD w/out editing.
1. Export files to 720 to 800meg chunks for burning.
2. Import into Ulead menu program and just set chapter points at the end of commercials.
3. Burn it.
This gives really good quality and you can skip commercials easily, it is much less hassle and I get to spend more time with wife!
Besides in 20 years todays commercials might be fun to watch for the kids.

Good Luck.
Steve.
