  1. I have been getting films in vcd 1.1 & 2.0 format now for quite a while. Whenever I want to copy these I simply use Nero 5578 and copy on the fly.One of my mate's has a Sony home dvd player and these do not play on it. All the discs except for datasafe/datamedia 24speed do not play but I have heard that datasafe are not to be manufactured anymore. Could someone out there help me and tell me what other discs I can use and if there is another way of copying these discs other than Nero 5578?
I have also pulled the AVSE.DAT file off the MPEGAV file and re done it as a vcd in Nero but it has the same result. Do I need to record slower or do you guys know of any more brands in the UK that can be used for Sony DVD home players.

    Thanks

Don't blame NERO its the SONY player it is just a picky machine. My aunts husband works for SONY and I think his discount is 40 % off and guess how many Sony products I have. Sony is overpriced and over rated.
