I want to burn a VCD for a friend who has a Panasonic DVD player. Any of you guys know if Panasonics play CDRWs (like most Sonys) or CDRs???

I have a Yamaha DVD-S700 which is a Panasonic A350 clone and I can play TDK, Kodak, Imation and Princo 74 min CD-RW disks without any problems.

    Best regards,

That is good to know. Have you tried any VCDs on CDRs?

  4. My buddie's panasonic will only play VCDs on Memorex CDRW's and won't play SVCDs or CDRs.

Iv'e had limited success with Princo and Pyrod CD-R's but I have to open and close the drawer about 10 times before the DVD player recognizes the CD-R. Now I only use CD-R's to archive the videos and copy to CD-RW when I want to watch something.

    Best regards.

Yeah, archiving the VCDs on CD is what I do to. Looks like CDRW then. Are there any DVD players that do play CDRs instead of CDRWs???
