Hello,
I have a Tascam DR-40, but wouldn't recommend it to a friend who'd like a portable audio recorder because 1) I find it overpriced just to record interviews and 2) it picks up cellphone signals — GSM, at least — indoor (since phones have to try harder; I ruined an interview because of this.)
As of August 2020, what model would you recommend to record interviews a) below $100, b) immune from that issue, c) very easy to use (he's a bit technophobe), and d) good battery life?
Thank you.
The Sony ICD-UX560 has been end of lifed; The Olympus WS-853 is still available at about $80
