Please help me download this

hi, i'm trying to download this video http://media.mtvnservices.com/embed/mgid:uma:videolist:mtv.com:1692975/cp~instance%3Df....com%3A1692975 which came from here http://www.cambio.com/2012/08/31/watch-one-direction-my-first-time-mtv-vmas-special-onine-video/ . the original video on mtv got deleted but this still works. i have a mac oxs el capitan version 10.11.6

please help!

i've tried MULTIPLE sites, extensions and apps to download it but it will not work. do you know of one i can use?

Use youtube-dl. You also have to have RTMPDump in the same folder with youtube-dl because the videos are rtmp format in a FLV container.

I want to add: you need to use the latest ( January 18, 2017) youtube-dl to download the video. I first used a December 2016 version of youtube-dl and that would not work.

thank you, but i have a mac so i'm unable to use these programs. i have tried downloading youtube-dl for mac but i have failed multiple times. is there a way that you can download it for me and post it to dropbox? no need to worry about converting the files from flv to mp4, i can do that, but i just cant download it myself

Failed, as in you can't get it to install, or you can't get it to run? See issues 11509, 10231, and 7139 in youtube-dl support. If you don't have the right version of Python installed, go here.

I'm not a fan of the idea of downloading MTV content and making it publicly available. The phrase "not fair use" gnaws at the back of my neck.
