hello, i think this goes in this forum. i doewnloaded a NIN All that could have been divx dvdrip the other day but the audio is out of sync with the video. It comes a little bit before (<1-1.5seconds).
How can i correct this? im a total newbie when it comes to videoediting. In virtualdub i pressed ctrl I and told it to delay the audfio by 75ms and then said save avi but it said the projected avi size would be 55gigs so thats not too useful.
could someone tell me how to get the audo back in sync with the video?
thanks alot

In virtualdub, on the video meny, slecet direct stream copy. On the audio menu, select full processing mode and under compression select a suitable codec. Then try you ctrl-I trick again and select sav .avi. Might work.

i tried that. i get this error:
the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format.
i selected no compression the first time, then i selected mpeg layer 3. same error both times. any suggestions?
