Hi, I am trying to back up my copy of Memento (R2), but whn I put
it in my DVD-ROM drive, it just keeps spinning as if it cant read it.....
Is there a solution to this?
On another note, if I rip and NTSC dvd, and burn it to VCD as NTSC, I take it the vcd is NTSC?
What would happen if I rip and NTSC dvd, and burn it to vcd as PAL? How would the quality turn out, would the sound be out of sync due to the different frame rates?
Many thanx
Steven

Can anyone help me with my problem with the DVD ROM drive not reading the disc?
I have tried wiping and cleaning the disc, and it plays ok in my stand-alone dvd player.
Other dvds work fine in my DVD-ROM, I have never had any problems b4 with either R1 or R2 discs.........
What could cause this failure to read, and how can I fix it?
Thanks again

sterankin, i've ripped at least 500 dvds on my 1 dvd-rom, so it's starting to wear out...just put the dvd in there (after you've cleaned it of course) and wait...do something else while it's loading..it might just take awhile w/ certain dvds
it also helps if you open up windvd/powerdvd b4 u pop in the disc
