  1. when i encode a mpeg file it gets to 100% and freezes up, so i can't do batch files overnight. Could really do with myflix xe as i am encoding to svcd and would like to split the mpeg once it has been encoded, but it seems too expensive. Any other program out there that can split mpeg2 files?

  2. it doesn't freeze up when it gets to 100%...tmpgenc just needs some time to finalize it into your harddrive...just wait awhile after it's done...your harddrive light should be constantly on, indicating tmpgenc is heavily using your harddrive, hence...it's not frozen..

for me it takes roughly 10 min after it's 100% done encoding for it to actually finish (it looks like tmpgenc is frozen..but it's not..just be patient)

also, tmpgenc has it's own cut/join tools...just goto the file dropdown menu and there should be a MPEG TOOLS section where u can cut your dvd rip
