I have a 45 minute VCD 2.0 compliant MPEG-1 file. When use NERO for making the VCD and play it on my DVD player, about 2-3 seconds before the MPEG-1 file ends, the screen freezes and pauses for the time set in NERO (5 seconds in my case) and then stops as it should. When I play the VCD on my computer (or the original MPEG file) it plays to the very end. I have an Apex 600A. BTW, is there a way to past black frames on to the end of the file in Vdub? I guess I could have a 5 second blank MPEG file and just combine it with the main file before burning. Anyway, just wondering if anyone had seen this problem?

  2. I had this same problem with my xvcd Meet the parents 102 minutes on a 90min cdr. I thought that my Apex would only play to that point since I burned the same file twice. Turns out you may be right with the pause effect. I will have to retry my xvcd. That would be great if it worked since the last 5 seconds is something to see.

I changed the 5 second pause to a 0 second pause and it went to the same exact point and just instantly stopped (no 5 second pause). So I don't think the pause is causing the premature ending

This bug is actually caused by Nero. The only way to see the last 2 seconds (what can be so important???!!!) is to add/merge a 2-3 second clip on to the end of your mpeg before burning.
