    Dear major,
Thank you. This looks like a fairly formidable process though. Is this the easiest way to do this??? I am not that well versed in the technical aspects of film making - was not planning on spending a lot of time doing so. More interested in the product. If I must than I must though - must I?????

TRUST ME, I wrote MMT to make it easier on myself, so you can imagine what us early adopters have allready gone though.

The core modules are ported from linux, I don't think there's any hope.

If GNU VCDToolsX is carbonized why can't MMT be carbonized??

  8. GNU vcdtoolsX uses the same core that MMT uses. Jesper's app requires OS 10.1 where mine requires OS 10.1.2.

U kinda lost me there. Why is it that VCDToolsX doesn't open up the terminal (at least not visibily) and MMT does?

  10. If I am not distaken GNU vcdtoolsX is Cocoa, not Carbon.
The author has routed the underpinning activity to the LOG Window.
If you have the Log window open when you start imaging you will see the dialog that shows up in the Terminal when running MMT. MMT simply scripts the Terminal using a Cocoa interface, if I were to port to pure Cocoa, I supose I could bypass the Terminal also.
