I am having difficulty getting past not knowing the right keywords to figure out what I need to do for my project. At this point the only software I have used is makemkv to rip my Blu-rays onto my computer. But now I want to go the other direction.
I ultimately want to take a Blu-ray disk, and burn an edited copy of it with one of the audio channels and one of the subtitle tracks swapped out, while preserving all other functionality of the original disk (namely the as the main menu) I would also be happy to also remove the commercials such that the movie went straight to the main menu. I am pretty sure none of these things are preserved when you rip to mkv.
Can someone help me with this, or perhaps point me in the right direction? I have never burned a movie to disk that you can play in a regular Blu-ray player before, so I have no idea how to handle the main menu.
Edit: I also have the need to make a main menu from scratch for a separate project.

Take a look at BDEdit. Good luck by the way, its a hideously complex program for a beginner.
