Is there any use for equipment with analogue tuners? I used the heck out of a bunch of stuff that is just junk to me now that our cable provider upgraded to digital. I have no use for any of it and would like to see them off. Sorry for posting to the noodnik section.

The truth isn't altered by your version of it.

  2. Use external digital decoder capable to output video signal compliant with your analogue display. (I can imagine cable head-end that will create analogue channel lineup).

Return the cable company's analog equipment to them if you haven't already done so. Sell working SVHS recorders and any Pioneer, Panasonic or Toshiba DVD recorders from 2005-2007 on eBay. Recycle the rest.
