  1. I have been trying to use TMPEG 12a to convert some Quicktime files to MPEGs. Everytime I try they all lock up TMPEG. I tried setting the priority higher in the pluggin options and that didn't stop it. I even tried NOT using toolame as the audio encoder and it still locks up. If anyone has had this happen before and knows how to fix it please help. Thank you.

  2. tmpg to my opinion is not designed to handle .mov files. It takes forever to get it working and once you do you still end up with errors in the final mpg file.

I recommend using EO Video to convert your mov files to avi/mpg. I have been using EO Video to convert my movie trailer collection to vcd that way with no problems what so ever.

  3. I can understand that but this is the first time TMPEG gave me this kind of problem with MOV files. They have always worked with no problem up until now. I did a fresh install of windows ME and even though I hear about the problems before I have never had a big problem with Windows ME. But I will give it a try but I am still looking for ideas on how to fix my problem with TMPEG. Thanks.

Export the file out of QT as a bmp, jpeg image sequence then just re-encode through TMPG should have no worries.

  7. I'm going to try a fresh install of TMPEG and see if that helps me out any. I used to be able to encode a quicktime movie with no problem before. I don't know what could have happened.

I seem to be having a similar problem with Tmpgenc and .MOV's. They used to work fine for me.. and then BOOM! theyd load up and get to about 1% conversion and then crash windows.

I tried the same thing on a friends system and it worked perfectly fine. I dont understand it either..

    tks

  10. My thoughts where that it was some sorta copyrighted .mov or something, but that doesnt make any sense because my friend converted the same file in tmpgenc..
