I want to take a DVD-9 and split it to 2 DVD-r's, with the movie on Disc 1, and all the extra features on Disc 2. Has anyone tried this, and if so, can you tell me how to do it?

I read that guide, as well as the guide at Derrow's site, and my understanding is that they're actually splitting the movie itself onto 2 DVD-r's, and not the movie with all the extras.. unless i'm misunderstanding the guides.

Maybe they are. from what little I know of Dvd-ripping (coz I have only done a couple of simple ones) you must Rip all the vobs to your harddrive. Then you have to figure out (somehow, not sure how) which vobs are the main movie and which are the extras. This way you can put the main movie onto one DVD-r and the extras on another. I dont think it is possible to preserve the menus this way tho, if it is possible at all. You would have to create your own menus using a DVD authoring program such as DVDit or spruce up.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. Posting the same question on Doom9's forums might yield more info as the guys over there are into ripping whereas here people are more into capturing and converting (tho plenty of people here do Rip and are well versed in the art).
