i was just wondering if you could stop an encoding process and then continue were you stopped
im using tmpegenc

if you want to completely cancel the encode, then pinoy is correct..
however, with tmpgenc you can click on "cancel" and tmpgenc will have another box confirming the cancelation of encode...when this box is on top, tmpgenc will no longer be encoding, so you can do something else....if you wanna get back to encoding, you can just say "no" to canceling the encode and tmpgenc will continue (if you need to restart the comp, then it's over)
of course, i dunno how this would affect the dvd rip (if any)
