there is a 64bit version on this page (search for dss2mod or avss_x64.dll) , as well as links to other 64bit plugins

Thank you very much! I couldn't find the avss.dll 64 bit version myself.

DSS2 can use LAV Filters via native API in addition to installed DirectShow filters. In general, though, if you want to use libav* decoders, you should prefer FFMS2 or L-SMASH Works via indexer.
