  1. Hi and Hello as Newbie to the Forum.

I have a problem where I am searchin already quite a while for a solution.
I have several MP4 files with Chapters. These Chapters have been created with the Zoomplayer, it is very easy, you can configure the Zoom Player in the way, that you just right click the mouse, and a new Chaper is created.
But the problem is, these Chapters are stored in a separate text-file and only the zoom Player can read the chapter files.

I came across some MP4 files, which somehow internally have chapters. All Players seem to be able to read the chapters (including Zoom Player).

    I have to questions:
Is there a Player which can very easy create Chapters like the Zoom Player, but stores them inside the MP4 File?

And is there a tool, which I can use to merge the separate Chapter Files from the Zoomplayer into the MP4 File? I have found only one, called DRAX, but this seems to be very old.

I would be very happy, if you could help

    Thanks!

I know that Drax will import a chapter list, but you will have to transform Zoom's idiosyncratic text format into something Drax recognizes. Zoom looks like this:
    Code:
    AddChapter(0,Start of Video)
    AddChapterBySecond(1800,The Chase)
    AddChapterByTime(1,25,12,End Credits)
    But Drax wants this:
    Code:
    00:00:00.000 Start of Video
    00:30:00.000 The Chase
    01:25:12.000 End Credits

  3. +1 Drax. I use it all the time.

One small issue to be aware of: the chapter names all have to be unique. You cannot have two chapters both labeled "The Chase."

  4. Dear All,

    thanks for your quick answers!

As I understand, DRAX is still the best option, some script or Excel Macro might be required to convert the format.

Is there another Player which can easily create internal Chapters in MP4 files, so that for future I do not have to convert?
