Can I pull the hd out of my Tivo, connect it to my PC and extract a video stream, rather than through Tivonet?
I'd like to get a feel for what the extracted mpegs will be like (size & quality wise to back up to VCD/SVCD), before investing in Tivonet.
If this is possible, can someone point me towards some instructions or and FAQ? - I'm not as proficient in Linux as I'd like to be.. Thanks a LOT.
