Hi
I'm in the process of converting all my DVD's to MP4 so i can put the DVD's in storage
As i'm not native english this includes ripping the subtitles
Handbrake is my friend a lot of the way and Subrip takes care of the subtitles
my process is:
mount the iso i have on a offsite hard drive
use subrip to get the subtitles
use handbreak to rip the video to mp4 and in same go add the subtitles
Now the problem... when i play back in vlc it will list english subs and the one i added.
english is blank while the one i add works
what is the best FREE app to remove the english subs without the need to reencode?? i remember there where an abb that allowed to add and remove subs but the name have escaped me
i plan to use meta x to add cover art info etc. (huraaa i can make use of that old license key again)

You should be able to create a copy of your source by importing your source file and then selecting all of its streams you want to maintain, except the one you want to be removed. I believe... Right now I have no sample file to try that.
Alternative user interfaces are BOX4 or 'My MP4Box GUI' (but I did not use either yet).
