Hi,
I'm looking for a bit of help please,
I am backing up shows from my virgin media tivo box to my PC so I am able to watch them upstairs (minus adverts) . The recordings will start off ok than the audio starts to go out of sync. The beginning is slightly oos but not as bad as say the end of the recording.
I have tried both Elgato HD60Pro & HD PVR2 capture devices with same reuslts. Have replaced all HDMI cables & HDMI splitter.
As my PC is in a different room I have tried a 20FT HDMI Cable (Amazon Basics) & a 25FT USB Cable (not sure on manufacturer)
Have tried the manufacturers software (Elgato Capture & Hauppage Capture) aswell as Open Broadcaster Software with same results.
Any ideas on what the problem may be? ... I believe HDMI should be good for a greater distance than 20FT?
Setup tried:
1 Tivo Box - HDMI splitter (ViewHD) - Output 1 HDMI to TV Output 2 HDMI cable (20FT) to PC (HD60 Pro)
2 Tivo Box - HDMI splitter (ViewHD) - Output 1 HDMI to TV Output 2 Hauppage HD PVR 2 - 25FT USB 2.0 to PC.
thanks.
