I recently converted a divx movie to vcd format and when I play it on my dvd player every 15 minutes or so the audio gets out of synch and some times the video will skip. The audio will eventually re-synch with the video after a few mintues. The converted files themselves do not do this when i play them back off of my Hard drive. Is the skipping caused by the dvd player? The player is one of the first run of the apex players(which I know is not a high quality player). If it is not the player is there a way to convert/burn the movies so this does not happen?

i think u just didn't rip the sound first, rip it with virtual dub, then convert it to vcd with tmpgenc, then burn.
hope it helps
