I was playing SRT subs just fine with AVI/DIVX files on my PS3. I noticed several lines of text like the author/ripper/translator name, website url, etc that i wanted to remove. So I remove them and save the subs. I encode them with aviaddxsubs and then try them on the ps3. It says there are no subtitles available. Is it because I removed the author's name? It acts as a DRM sort of thing?

Guess those lines were at the begining of the file. Try opening your modified subtitles with the old subtitle workshop
to rebuild lines numeric order. Don't have to do nothing. just open and save.
Then mux again. -
Actually they were in line 20 or so. The subs play fine on pc just not ps3. I will try to see if i can rebuild the number order

Okay I solved it, deleting the lines works better in Subtitle Edit, not Aegisub. Why can't Aegisub handle line deletion properly anyway?
