I recently got a copy of Neromax because I wanted to burn VCD 2.0s. The problem is that every mpeg I create Neromax says is invalid. I tryed to see if it could burn anyting I had and selected a music video I downloaded. It said it was fine and could be burnt. I'm using M.Pack to create the vcds because I want to choose the data rate to use. Appartently the mpeg I create are not truely VCD2.0 compatable. So that begs the qustions is there anything I'm missing. I use the exact same settings as the music video, but no luck. I looked at the guide to burn vcds on this website, but it was no help. anyone know how to accomplish this?

for a fully vcd compliant vcd you can't choose the bitrate. that would be an xvcd(not standard vcd).

OK I hear you. First if you are creating Toast ready mpeg in m/ pack. Stop! Toast ready mpegs can only be used in toast to create vcd.
The simpliest way to make an mpeg that works in other programs is use the toast mpeg plugin in quicktime.
Just open the file you to convert to mpeg in quicktime and then go to the file menu to "export". Then select "toast video cd" in the export window.
The mpeg that is created will work in nero. -
Can't do that either. Nero moves the toast extentions upon installation. Thus no exporting to Toast Video cd can be done. In M.Pack can't be used, then what use is m.pack anyway? Thus far none of my created mpegs work.
