    You might want to try this also. It works for 480x480 mpeg1 captures. I'm not sure about mpeg2.

    MMC 7.1 would crash when I attempted 480x480 captures in mpeg1. If I simply did a 3 or 4 second capture with the MMC 7.1 VCD default setting first and then changed to my custom 480x480 setting MMC 7.1 would not lock up.
