  1. Hi,

I am wondering how I may replicate the equalizer effect as seen in videos on YouTube such as this:

Equalizer effect? What are you referring to? - Do you mean "visualizer" (aka motion Visualization)?
    Sonically, the synth part?
    Visually, the waveform animation?

Equalizer refers to audio band filtering. I neither see nor hear any example of such a process here.

to me it looks like an Inverse 'upside down' , sound bar visualization, positioned so that it looks like the bottom line of the logo is dripping in time with the music

That was made in AE or some other software like Boris. Using a beat detector.

Go to Boris FX website and look through their tools in the "Continuum" package.

It's not extremely hard to do, more like an intermediate level FX. The concept is simple enough. You want to "Transform" a PNG, in 2.5D space to the beat of an audio file.

So that puts the job in the realm of AE, Vegas, PP, and whatever NLE's support plug-in FX. A cheaper FX standalone package, that can do this job, is HitFilm.
