Sorry if this is a dumb question. I have about 1.5tb of home video dating back to 2004 on an external drive. I would like to transfer it to another external drive. What would be the best way, just hook them both up to pc, clone one drive with back up software, I dont know? Thanks for any help.

Easiest way is to just copy from one to the other. Some have said that when they used windows copy it resulted in some corrupt video files. I would use TeraCopy as it can automatically check the copied files for errors by calculating their CRC checksum values.

No, try this. Use it on some unimportant files first.
