    Hello all

I'm sorry as I can only imagine this is one of the most asked questions, but I just have a couple of what should be simple BD's to burn an don't think I need anything to fancy an as well just really want to test a few things, so was just wondering if there was any simple a free software I might be able to use?

Basically I already have the full BD structure on my PC, I just want to put it to, an just as it is to a BD disk.

Will just even the simple Windows 7 copy an paste burning work?

Have a BD burner an BD disk of course.

    Thanks greatly.

Use only ImgBurn to burn the BD disc. I've done over a hundred, single and dual layer Verbatim BD data discs with zero coasters. And it's free.

Authoring is a bit limited for BDs. tsMuxeR is probably the simplest. Or try multiAVCHD. A few more free ones listed here: https://www.videohelp.com/software/sections/authoring-bd-hd-dvd

If you want to examine the BD structure, specifications and formats, look here: https://www.videohelp.com/hd

Thanks redwudz for the quick reply.

Actually I found by more research that ImgBurn was the tool, but as I just got my first set of BD-RE disks today, I don't know much about using these over DVD's.

So apparently, I have to format them before I can use one?

I sorta found this out too as I tried the Windows idea I had first, but when I went to tried to copy a set of files that were 45.6g, it told me I did not have enough room by about 7.56g or something like that.

Btw, the Disks I am using are Verbatim BD-RE 50g disks.

So to jump ahead, right now I am using ImgBurn to do the format an read that I should go to Tools>Disk>Erase, an then I decided to do the Full Erase over the Quick...but it sure is taking a long time.

So am I doing the correct things an once this is done, should ImgBurn be able to put the full 45.6g to this disk?

Also just to ask, if this is all correct, can I just do the Quick Erase next time provided its a new disk?

    Thanks greatly.

    See here :

tldr: BD-RE need a full erase when they are brand new
a quick erase is enough after that
if you want to securely erase the content of a BD-RE to prevent data theft a full erase is needed
